A Change Is Gonna Come

This is the title for the first episode of Grey's Anatomy fourth season. I know I've been waiting for Prison Break and Heroes but not as much anticipation as I had for Grey's Anatomy. Don't get me wrong, love Prison Break and Heroes but I have a soft spot for Grey's Anatomy because it always relates to the matters of the heart. And it has lots and lots of emotions.

After months and months waiting, the new episode started about 17 days after the end of the last season. Lots of new faces since our fave interns has became residents, (they looked so grown up btw and oh yeah, Karev is hotter than ever, he has this sexy goatee now) so they have their own interns now. That is interesting to watch. The new episode didnt disappoint, it just has the right amount of drama, the right amount of tension, the right amount of emotions, the right amount of humour. Even though it was only one episode, it already tugged a few heartstrings. The "I love you" at the end, eeeeekkk.. can't wait for the upcoming episodes!!

As usual, Grey's style, Meredith always has something to say...

"Change; we don’t like it, we fear it, but we can't stop it from coming. We either adapt to change or we get left behind. And it hurts to grow, anybody who tells you it doesn’t is lying. But heres the truth: the more things change, the more they stay the same. And sometimes, oh, sometimes change is good. Oh, sometimes, change is ... everything."

Reng A Deng Deng

I finally had the chance to watch Hairspray. OMG it was freakin awesome. FUN FUN FUN all the way! I couldnt sit still the entire show. hahaha it felt like watching a live show or something. I want to clap my hands for every song.

The newcomer Nikki Blonsky, who played Tracy Turnblad, was awesome! She has this high level of confidence and you can see her enthusiasm and passion in playing that role. She is also soo cute that I want to squeeze her. hahaha. or maybe take her as my little sister. Plus, she can really dance!!! And then, there was John Travolta who played Edna Turnblad, Tracy's mom. They are so much alike it's freaky! He is sooo cute that I want to be Edna's adopted daughter. LOL. He was unbelievable!! I love when he made this shy face or when he put his hands on his heart when saying something. Adroable! He can dance gracefully in that fat suit and heels!!! I love his scenes with Christopher Walken, who played Tracy's dad. The other cast were awesome as well and I don't know that Michelle Pfeiffe can sing! But I just want to say that I want to punch Zac Efron for being sooo cheesy. HHAHAHA so ok, I have to say that I never really like the guy, but he played that character so well. And with the piercing blue eyes, no wonder those tween girls go ga-ga over him. Then James Marsden was amazing too, from Cyclops to being Corny Collins, hahah he is as corny as corny can be. lol.

So anway, go watch hairspray if musical is your thing. Go watch it if u like the 60s era, go watch it if you are a fan of Zac Efron hahahaha.. go watch it if you want to have some fun, go watch it if you really like some cheesiness in your life. I love cheese! :-)

I love this pic, look at John Travolta, he is soo cute ;-P

Musings is 2

Seriously. I can't  believe I've forgotten my dear Musings' 2nd birthday! September flies so fast, lots of things happened this month.

For those who didn't know, my mama had a mild stroke on the first day of Ramadhan and was hospitalized for 5 days. Now she is recuperating at home and feeling better each and every day. I take this opportunity to say thanks to those who prayed for her. For those who showed love by visiting - Aya, Lin, Honey and Faeza.. thank you so much for sacrificing your time. Aya, thank you for spending the night at the hospital with me. You were there at my worst nightmare. I'll never forget that night (ok, that includes drooling over Channing Tatum) and you are a true and sincere friend. I love you, I think you are amazing. For those who offer prayers and love through phone calls, smses and emails, thank you! I am truly blessed having people like you guys in my life. Keep doa for my mama's health ok?

So anyway, I think I strayed from the subject. Musings, Happy 2nd birthday, my friend. Musings has become an essential part of me. I think I havent blogged as much as I used to, but it remains the place where I wrote about my emotions, things that I love, people that I love, my various obsessions.

"Hold You In My Arms"

When you came to me with your bad dreams and your fears
It was easy to see that you'd been crying
Seems like everywhere you turn catastrophe it reigns
But who really profits from the dying
I could hold you in my arms
I could hold you forever
I could hold you in my arms
I could hold you in my arms forever

When you kissed my lips with my mouth so full of questions
It's my worried mind that you quiet
Place your hands on my face
Close my eyes and say
Love is a poor man's food
Don't prophesize
I could hold you in my arms
I could hold you forever
And I could hold you in my arms
I could hold you forever

So now we see how it is
This fist begets the spear
Weapons of war
Symptoms of madness
Don't let your eyes refuse to see
Don't let your ears refuse to hear
Or you ain't never going to shake this sense of sadness
I could hold you in my arms
I could hold on forever
And I could hold you in my arms
I could hold forever

Twilight

I am confident that today I will get enough sleep, finally. I barely slept for more than 3 hours since last week, on working nights. Reason for this? My new obsession, The Twilight Saga. Have you heard of Twilight? New Moon? Eclipse? Stephenie Meyer? Edward Cullen? Bella Swan? Hehheh I didn’t know about them as well until about 2 weeks ago. I read an article saying that the latest novel by Stephenie Meyer, Eclipse, knocking off Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows of its no 1 spot to no 2 in Eclipse’s first week of release. My curiosity seep in and I did a bit of search about this Stephenie Meyer. Some people say that this saga is the one to watch for after Harry Potter.

Little did I know that it became my new obsession. I bought the first book, Twilight last Tuesday, finished it off on Thursday, bought second book, New Moon on Thursday finished it off on Sunday (while I was in KB, for my cousin’s engagement), bought the third book, hardcover (at first I want to wait for the paperback but 6 months seems like ages) this past Tuesday and finished it off last night, sleeping only at 3 am.

Want to know what’s it about? I think you can just google any of the names I mentioned above and you’ll find out. It’s kinda hot right now and there is also news that they will make a movie out of Twilight. I just can’t wait!!

Basically it’s a love story. A kinda twisted love story. If you love Buffy, Angel, Underworld, you’ll love this. The story centred on a teenage girl named Isabella “Bella” Swan who fell in love with a vampire named Edward Cullen. Hahahahha then, later... she befriended Jacob Black, became best friends (although Jacob has other feelings than friendship with Bella) who turn out to be  a werewolf. Vampires v Werewolves. Hahah now.. that is interesting isn’t it? Anyway, just so you know.. Edward and the Cullens are the good vampires. They do not drink human blood. They call themselves “vegetarians”. LOL. They only drink animal blood. And they are not like those vampires we heard in other fictions. They will not be destroyed by sunlight. They avoid sunlight because their body will glimmer like diamonds in sunlight. They are extremely beautiful and graceful but their body are hard like stone, and very very cold. They are not afraid of garlic too. They appeared in photos too. hahah

Anyway, Edward live as a vampire for about 100 years or so.. (he is forever 17 years old though)and he can abstain himself from tempted by human blood until he met this insignificant 17 years old girl, Bella Swan. One day, Bella Swan came to the school as a newcomer and sat beside him in class. He kept thinking that he has to kill other kids in the class so that no one can witness her death. He just can’t stand the scent of her blood, it's intoxicating to him and took every control he had to stop him from killing her. He left his town, just to forget about her.. but then he kept coming back. Later, tired from keeping away, he decides to get close to her. And the rest is history. They fell in love and later, Bella found out what he is. But it didn’t stop her from loving him.

Heheh anyway, I don’t want to go into details…just thought of sharing this with you guys, about a story that captivated me this past week. Hehhehehe go on people, read!!!

“About three things I was absolutely positive. First, Edward was a vampire. Second, there was a part of him—and I didn’t know how potent that part might be—that thirsted for my blood. And third, I was unconditionally and irrevocably in love with him.”
~ Bella Swan, Twilight

“Before you, Bella, my life was like a moonless night.  Very dark, but there were stars- points of light and reason.  And then you shot across my sky like a meteor.  Suddenly everything was on fire; there was brilliancy, there was beauty.  When you were gone, when the meteor had fallen over the horizon, everything went black.  Nothing had changed, but my eyes were blinded by the light.  I couldn’t see the stars anymore.  And there was no more reason for anything.”

~ Edward Cullen, New Moon
